Vatech is a leading provider of digital dental radiography products. As the US subsidiary of Vatech Co.,Ltd., Vatech America is dedicated solely to innovative digital dental X-ray imaging technologies that aid dentists and ultimately help to improve the health of dental patients. The company is responsible for technological advances in recent years that offer every American dental practice, from small to large, endless possibilities to improve patient care, and accurate diagnosis.

Worldwide, Vatech, is a network of 12 different subsidiary companies, and business partners in 93 countries. Vatech offers the radiographic imaging solution to medical, dental, veterinary fields, and also develops and manufactures its own digital radiographic sensor, the most critical component of diagnostic X-ray systems.

With a network of 12 different subsidiary companies and business partners in 93 countries, Vatech is a leading provider of digital dental radiography products.

The problem with current X-ray sensing systems is their high cost. Solid-state devices such as CCDs have imperfect manufacturing output and require nearly perfect charge generation efficiency to achieve a good image comparable in quality to those achievable with x-ray film.

Usually, CCDs are manufactured in boutique foundries and often have distinct manufacturing requirements that are unlike those of typical semiconductor processes. CMOS technology is an alternative solid-state imaging technology that takes advantage of the comparatively more precise CMOS manufacturing processes, which have been optimized for high-volume computer-chip industry.

However, CCDs and CMOS imaging devices for x-ray sensor applications utilize extremely sophisticated equipment and manufacturing procedures, these imaging devices are inherently expensive to develop and manufacture. Due to this issue of cost, there are very few manufacturers of CBCT devices in the world who research, develop, and manufacture X-ray sensors all under one roof. Vatech is one such minority of 3D device makers, who does everything in-house.

We research, develop, and manufacture X-ray sensors all under one roof.

The Power of 30%

At Vatech we happen to believe that all manufacturers need to continuously innovate or perish. However, this is something that is simpler in theory than in practice. Often, manufacturers are forced to increase output and increase profit margins, all the while reducing cost, this severely limits resources and investments for research and development. Vatech is fundamentally challenging this status quo by aggressively investing roughly 30% of its resources to research and development every year. Therefore making innovations such as Green CT® a reality.
